What is CCHP on Call?
Chorus Community Health Plans offers its members a no-cost, on call nurse line called CCHP on Call. You can speak directly to knowledgeable registered nurses who are available 24/7.
How does CCHP on Call work?
Call 1-877-257-5861 anytime to speak with a registered nurse about your health needs. The nurses may provide a symptom assessment and help you find the appropriate level of care to help keep your costs down. Depending on your needs, you may be told of a nearby facility that has extended hours (such as an urgent care clinic), or directed to your family doctor, given at-home treatment advice or offered a medical doctor (MD) consultation over the phone.
What is the benefit of CCHP on Call?
When you or someone in your family need medical treatment quickly for non-emergencies, CCHP on Call allows you access nurse triage care from wherever and whenever you need it. These nurses can help you get the care that is right for your and your family.
24/7 MD consultations
By combining our award-winning nurse triage service with MD consultations, we are proud to offer services that provide immediate care for certain common conditions. If needed, the nurses can also connect you to one of our CCHP On Call doctors. You can receive advice from one of our doctors from the comfort of your home, office, or on the go. Our doctors can even write prescriptions!
With MD consultations, the doctors may be able to diagnose your condition, provide at-home treatment advice, and send a prescription (if appropriate) to the local participating pharmacy for common conditions, such as:
- Colds and flu
- Pink eye
- Sore throat
- Bronchitis
- Sinus or ear infections
- Nausea and vomiting
- Urinary tract infections
CCHP on Call is ideal if you/your family member:
- Have a fever
- Sprains an ankle
- Have a scrape or cut
- Have a skin irritation or rash
