Health Plan Accreditation
Chorus Community Health Plans is proud to announce that our two products have received National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Accreditation.
NCQA is committed to providing health care quality information for consumers, purchasers and health care providers and researchers.
NCQA Health Plan Accreditation is a nationally recognized, voluntary review process. This includes rigorous on-site and off-site evaluations of over 60 standards. CCHP was assessed on standards specific to Quality Management and Improvement, Network Management, Utilization Management, Credentialing and Recredentialing and Members’ Rights and Responsibilities.
A national oversight committee of physicians and health plan experts analyzes the team’s findings and assigns an accreditation level based on the performance of each plan being evaluated to NCQA’s standards. These high standards are intended to help organizations achieve the highest level of performance possible and create an environment of continuous improvement.
Health Equity Accreditation
NCQA’s Health Equity Accreditation recognizes organizations that lead the market in providing culturally and linguistically sensitive services, and work to reduce health care disparities. Health Equity Accreditation focuses on ensuring organizations are building an internal culture that supports the organization’s external health equity work. Examples of this are collecting data that help the organization create and offer language services and provider networks mindful of individuals’ cultural and linguistic needs; identifying opportunities to reduce health inequities and improve care.
CCHP was evaluated on standards in the following areas: organizational readiness; race/ethnicity, language, gender identify and sexual orientation; access and availability of language services; practitioner network cultural responsiveness; culturally and linguistically appropriate services programs; and reducing health care disparities.
